Meadowcreek's New President
Dr. Katrina Betancourt
Meadowcreek Inc., a leader in public service, land conservation, and environmental stewardship, is pleased to announce Dr. Katrina Betancourt's appointment as its new President.
Effective December 14, 2024, Dr. Betancourt will lead the organization’s efforts to protect and conserve vital natural resources while engaging communities in sustainable environmental practices.
Dr. Betancourt comes to Meadowcreek Inc. with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Currently, she serves as President of the Arkansas Coalition for Obesity Prevention (ArCOP) and the Arkansas Farmers Market Association (AFMA), where she leads successful initiatives in community and statewide projects to change public health policy.
Dr. Betancourt holds a Doctorate in Health Education with an emphasis in Health Program Planning and Health Policy and a Master's in Kinesiological Science.

I look forward to working with our board members and partners to further our mission of preserving Fox, Arkansas's unique and beautiful landscapes for future generations.”
Under Dr. Betancourt’s leadership, Meadowcreek Inc. plans to open the valley to the public, enhance its conservation efforts, expand its educational programs, and strengthen partnerships with local communities and environmental organizations. The Conservatory remains committed to creating lasting positive impacts on the environment, including protecting biodiversity, promoting sustainable land use practices, and advocating for land conservation policies at local and state levels.
